Before the makeover, this tiny back yard was barely habitable

Previously uninhabitable, this back yard was transformed to a cosy courtyard surrounded by an array of potted plants and shrubs

The entrance to this seaside property was improved by gravelling the area, adding climbers to the beautiful old wall, planting lavender and sealing it off with a dwarf buxus border

By cutting into the lawn, we were able to create interesting curves and a beautiful new flower bed containing shrubs, grasses and an abundance of spring and summer bulbs

This garden was filled with odds and ends and being a north facing, damp area, we stripped it back to a simple, clutter free space using decorative stone, a few shade tolerant plants and a splash of brightly coloured paint.
